Robert N. Fisch has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of our board of directors since June 2001. From February 1987 to December 1999, he served as president of Casual Corner Group, Inc. Since June 2004, Mr. Fisch has served as director at The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc.
Mr. Barron was the Senior Executive Vice President, Group President of The TJX Companies, Inc. until his retirement in January 2009. His employment with The TJX Companies began in 1979. He held the positions of Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, The Marmaxx Group (2000-2004), Senior Vice President, Group Executive, TJX (1996-2000), Senior Vice President, General Merchandising Manager, T.J. Maxx (1993-1996). From 1979 to 1993, he held several other executive positions within The TJX Companies, Inc. Mr. Barron became a director of Dollar Tree in March 2008.
Mr. Brock was a co-founder of Dollar Tree and served as president of Dollar Tree from 1986 to 2001 and chief executive officer of Dollar Tree from 1993 to 2003. He has served on the board of directors of Dollar Tree since 1986 and as chairman of the board since 2001. Mr. Brock has served on the board of directors of Lumber Liquidators, Inc. since November, 2007.
Mr. Hartman most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Yankee Candle Company. Prior to joining Yankee Candle, Mr. Hartman was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Cushman & Wakefield from April 2006 to January 2008. Additionally, Mr. Hartman served as the Executive Vice President of Foot Locker from April 2002 to November 2005. He sat on the board of Pathmark Supermarkets from 2004 to 2007, and was the chair of their Audit committee from 2006 to 2007.
Mr. Kent has over 25 years experience in consumer products and retail strategy, marketing and brand development. Mr. Kent joined Yankee Candle in 2001 as Senior Vice President of the Wholesale Division and was promoted to President of the company in 2004. He was promoted to COO in 2007 and became CEO in 2009. Before joining Yankee Candle, Mr. Kent was Senior Vice President of Global Wholesale for Totes Isotoner, a Bain Capital portfolio company. Before joining Totes Isotoner, Mr. Kent held senior marketing and sales roles with the Winchester Division of Olin Corporation and The Campbell Soup Company. He started his career as a consultant with Bain and Company. Mr. Kent was featured in the March 30, 2012 episode of the CBS show Undercover Boss. He serves as a Director of the AT Cross company and also serves on several non profit boards.
John F. Megrue Jr. has served as a member of our board of directors since July 1998. Since November 2006, Mr. Megrue has served as chief executive officer of Apax Partners in the United States. From April 2005 to November 2006, he served as co-chief executive officer of Apax Partners, L.P. From May 1992 to April 2005, he served as a partner of Saunders Karp & Megrue, LLC. Mr. Megrue also serves as a member of the board of directors of Bob's Discount Furniture, L.L.C., Tommy Hilfiger Corporation and MagnaCare Holdings, Inc. and has previously served as a member of the board of directors of Dollar Tree, Inc., The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. and Hibbett Sports, Inc.
Alex Pellegrini has served as a member of our board of director since September 2009. Since January 2009, Mr. Pelligrini has served as a partner of Apax Partners, L.P. From April 2005 to December 2008, he served as a principal at Apax Partners, L.P. From August 2000 to April 2005, he served as an investment professional of Saunders Karp & Megrue, LLC. Mr. Pellegrini also serves as a member of the board of directors of MagnaCare Holdings, Inc. and Spectrum Laboratory Holdings.
Ms. Sen has significant experience in the retail industry. She joined BJ's in 1989 as an Assistant Vice President after many years at Zayre Corporation, a discount chain based in Massachusetts. She was promoted to Vice President, Logistics Director of BJ's in 1991, Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager of Non-Food in 1993, and in 1997 Ms. Sen assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Merchandising.
In 2003, Ms. Sen left BJ's to work as an independent consultant in the retail industry. She returned to BJ's in January 2007 as Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Logistics, was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2008, and in February 2009 she became President and Chief Executive Officer and joined their board.
Ms. Sen is active in the retail industry and serves on several non-profit boards. In 2011, she was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Retail Federation.
